Introduction
Kanha national park lies in south-east of Madhya Pradesh on Satpura hills. It is spread over Mandla and Balaghat districts of state. It is part of Kanha tiger reserve which is very popular among wildlife world due to its great contribution on wildlife conservation practices. It is not just a wildlife safari destination but also a conservation laboratory as Kanha tiger reserve management has contributed in almost all the major wildlife conseravtion initiatives like conservation of hard-ground Barasingha, shifting of Barasingha to Bori wildlife sanctuary, shifting of Indian gaur to Bandhavgarh, shifting of tigers to Panna tiger reserve, grass management practice etc.
