Introduction
Narmada arti in Jabalpur is a most famous evening event that can be attended, after sunset. It is a 30 minutes event which should must be attended during Jabalpur city tour. This arti is held at Gwarighat or Gaurighat area of Jabalpur city, located on the Narmada river bank. It can be attended by visitors of any age group, gender, financial status. After sunset, all major sightseeing points of Jabalpur gets closed for visitors thus it is important and popular evening activity for tourists and local citizens.
Timing of Narmada Arti
As mentioned above, Gwarighat Narmada arti is a 30 minutes event. Here summer timing and winter timing varies but duration will remain same. In winters, when sunset take place early, arti is held at 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM. In summers, when sunset takes place late, arti timing will be 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Here management team retains the right to change the time as per situation. Still we recommend visitors to reach the site early, approx. 30 minutes before actual time to ensure your sitting arrangement and watch the preparation activities.

It is a free of cost event to attend. No fee is charged from any visitors thus anyone can visit the site and attend this holy event.
Is it a daily event ?
Yes, it is a daily event that goes on in all seasons unless there is rainfall at the time of arti or due to some administrative restriction.
Instructions to follow:
- The area surrounding to 5 stands, on which Narmada arti is performed by priests is cleaned on daily basis. So do not wear any shoes or sandals or slippers in area surrounding to stands. Visitors are expected to cooperate with team.
- While watching Narmada arti by boat, do not place the boat in front of arti place. It is restricted for boating till arti is going on. So watch arti from left or right corners.
- Keep the arti place neat and clean. Do not spit or throw any garbade in that area.
- Avoid playing any loud music or shouting during arti event.
- Do not walk or play in front of the venue during arti duration.
- You may sit or stand during arti event, as per your choice.
- Try to reach the venue, 30 minutes before the begning of event. It has many benefits like you will get proper seating position, you will easily get vehicle parking space etc. It should must be minded when you are with any senior citizen or physically challenged person.
How to reach Gwarighat
For reaching Gwarighat spot, local auto-rickshaw, taxi cabs are available. Other people may also use city bus option but bus will not drop you to exact point as that area is not exactly in route so visitor will have to walk a little bit to reach the spot.
How to visit with senior citizen or physically challenged person
Here we can reach the location by car or taxi vehicle. Further we have to pass through stairs, approx. 35-40 in count. If person is not able to pass through stairs then he/she may watch the aarti from road but this will give back-side view only. In such case, boating option could be better solution, that we use.
