Introduction
Sanjay Dubri national park is located in 100 kms north east of Bandhavgarh national park. It is a dry deciduous forest with variety of mammal, birds, reptiles, butterflies species. This forest is mostly spread in Kusumi and Majhauli blocks of Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh state. It is part of Sanjay Dubri tiger reserve thus all tiger reserve rules are applicable here. Here we can find both core zone and buffer zones. This tiger reserve was established in 1975, under wildlife protection act of 1972. It is a beautiful forest with Sal trees in majority due to which it often makes us feel as if we are doing safari in Kanha national park forest. As if now resort options are very limited but very soon, new luxury and deluxe accommodation options will be available for us. Work is going on. What to see at Sanjay Dubri national park
Sanjay Dubri National Park is just 100 km from Bandhavgarh thus it can be very well connected with this popular national park. Despite of close location, vegetation is different. It is more beautiful forest than Bandhavgarh, due to presence of Sal tree forest in majority of area and active rivers like Banas, Mawai, Gopad, Umrar, Kodmar, Mahan etc. Due to presence of so many rivers, forest is naturally very well irrigated thus remains green in summers. Here sighting of animals like Sloth bear, Leopards, Black buck, Sambar, Spotted Deer etc. Apart from this, bare foot walk at back of Parsili resort is another unique activity to experience and participate.
